Mythos came back to us, and to celebrate, we decided to do a seasonal cast (definitely not because that’s what we usually do, anyways – totally not)!
For the Xth time in a row, we talk about how “surprisingly good” the winter season is, how we always actually have a lot of good stuff in the winter season, and get down to talking about a veritable treasure trove of shows. We talk about some good, good horror in The Promised Neverland, a lot of 3DCG shows, one of which (cough cough W’z cough cough) gets Tofu both riled up and introspective, some mental, emotional warfare in Kaguya-sama, and really, a lot more things than we can adequately list here.

This season is full of good shows, so do some digging and find something you like!

Jumpin’ Joestars, it’s a new month, and it’s Autumn in North America! You know what that means – another introduction for a Backloggers monthly round-up that’s talking about the weather and how fast this year is moving! Seriously though, a year back, it felt like these posts, and everything else, really, came and went quite slowly. But time has been picking up its pace recently, and we have certainly been feeling that here at Backloggers HQ. Most of all, we’ve felt that in the deluge of great articles and posts that the community has put out this month! I feel as though we say this every time, but truly, this is just a small taste of the hot content that was available in the anisphere from the month of September. So sit back, relax with a warm drink of your choice, and dig into a little bit of what our peers have put together!

This was the exactly question asked in a Backloggers conversation a few weeks ago, and I have to say that this year is just moving along so fast. I’m not sure if it’s just a thing that’s happening for us here, if it’s just due to the major hits we’ve had this season, or if it’s just because there’s just so much content out there to keep us reading that we just lose track of the time. Despite whichever it may be, we’re here to share some of that monthly content with you guys, as we always do, even when we’re struggling to get our own content out. Anyway, I’ll end the preamble here and leave the blog announcements for later, so here’s some of that content we thought was just boppin’ this month!

The month of July — a month that I would consider an extreme one in terms of weather. Scorching hot days resembling a desert are many, that is unless you live somewhere the humidity is overbearing or storms every single day of the week like I do.
Either way, just because July may not be the best in terms of weather doesn’t mean that it should be that way for anime content, and with the transition of the anime seasons happening this month, there’s a whole bunch of takes going around about some hot summer shows! That’s not even mentioning the throwbacks, anime convention content (or con-tent, I should say), or films that have been floating around the community.
Anyway, let’s dive into some of those pieces of the month that we at Backloggers HQ thought were pretty cool!

This week on the Log Time Podcast, we lament that life made watching anime difficult this season, but we cover a few shows that made the Spring 2018 season great for us. We get to the nitty-gritty of the sheer fun of Megalo Box, discuss the awkward (but good) mess that is 3D Kanojo/Real Girl, and go ham on what seemed to be our show of the season, Hinamatsuri.

It’s that time once again folks; the Backloggers community content round-up! This post will make the 12th one, and it’s so hard to believe that we’ve been doing this for a full year now. We’ve gone through so much good content from you guys and we enjoy putting these small compilations together hopefully as much as you guys enjoy looking at the content from our perspective. We have no intents of stopping these anytime soon (despite how it may seem at times), and we’re striving to keep the good content rolling! We’re always putting effort into making sure y’all are getting quality content presented, so as always, any feedback is appreciated!
Anyway, let’s get to that content!
This week on the Log Time Podcast, we combat the veritable wasteland that is the Spring 2018 anime season. We discuss a few solid shows that knocked (or boxed) our socks off, a solid smattering of “meh”-worthy works, and contend with the general sense of anime ennui that comes from having a season try to follow up the Winter 2018 season.
