Every season, it feels like we get closer and closer to that perfect moment where every show we watched be a solid pick. This season was unfortunately not it.

That being said, we’ve still compiled a couple of fantastic shows that you should definitely check out, whether you’re into future cop crime thrillers, furry shenanigans, or a comedy about flowers, and baseball, and hoses, and the sun, and a Bench (I think?). We’ve even got the hot gossip (i.e., public outcry) about a certain soft tennis anime’s untimely end, so we’ve for sure got something in this batch that’ll interest you!

The spring season may not have as much of a kick in terms of sheer adrenaline and mind-bending shows as the winter season, but don’t count it out! We’ve dug through a mountain of shows to find the season’s cream of the crop (and some of the trash, while we’re at it). Join us as we discuss some good, wholesome fun with Hitoribocchi, Senryu Girl, and Fruits Basket, talk about the weird side of spring with Sarazanmai and Midnight Occult Civil Servants, and dissect some truly heinous garbage.

Log Time General #18 Podcast | Beginning of Winter 2019 — The Magnificent Winter Anime

Mythos came back to us, and to celebrate, we decided to do a seasonal cast (definitely not because that’s what we usually do, anyways – totally not)!

For the Xth time in a row, we talk about how “surprisingly good” the winter season is, how we always actually have a lot of good stuff in the winter season, and get down to talking about a veritable treasure trove of shows. We talk about some good, good horror in The Promised Neverland, a lot of 3DCG shows, one of which (cough cough W’z cough cough) gets Tofu both riled up and introspective, some mental, emotional warfare in Kaguya-sama, and really, a lot more things than we can adequately list here.
